The Neuroethics Society is delighted to open the registration process for its first annual meeting, and to begin accepting submissions of abstracts for presentation at the poster session.

Limited space is available for walk-in registration on site.  The full registration fee applies for all parts of the meeting.

 

 

CONFERENCE PROGRAM INFORMATION:


The meeting will run for two full days, November 13-14, at the headquarters of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington DC, including an evening session on November 13 hosted by the Dana Center. The program will consist of invited symposia, a debate, an FYI session with announcements of neuroethics-relevant information from the assembled group, break-out lunch discussions, a business meeting, coffee breaks and a reception. Symposium topics include forensic neuroscience, neuroeconomics & decision making, controversies in pediatric neuropsychiatry, deep brain stimulation & functional neurosurgery, the business of neuroscience, and neuroscience & national security.

The registration fee covers the cost of all events listed in the program.  We offer a discounted rate for students (defined to be individuals working full-time toward a degree and those in full-time residencies and postdoctoral fellowship programs) and a discounted rate for early registration. 

 

The 2008 Annual Meeting is open to members of the Neuroethics Society.  If you are not yet a member of the Neuroethics Society, sign up now for membership and meeting registration.

PRESS CREDENTIALS:

 

Members of the press interested in covering the meeting can attend at no cost.  Advance registration is required.  Those with press passes or (for freelance media) appropriate identification or assignment verification are welcome to apply via email, with the subject line "Press Pass."

 

 

 

REFUND POLICY:

 

All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@neuroethicssociety.org. A $25 processing fee applies to all cancellations. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after Nov 1, 2008. All refunds will be processed after the meeting.
