Postdoctoral Position

The Wexler Lab at the Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy, Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, USA, is seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow. The fellow will work on an NIH-funded project that utilizes sociological methods to study the ethical, legal and social implications of do-it-yourself and direct-to-consumer medicine and science, with a particular focus on neurotechnology. This 12-month position will begin Fall 2019. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Research Coordinator

The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time research coordinator for a non-laboratory research position. The individual hired will be responsible for providing research support for National Institutes of Health-funded projects on ethical, legal, and social implications of advances in neuroscience and psychiatric genomics.

Postdoctoral Research Scholar

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, USA invites applications for a postdoctoral research scholar in empirical neuroethics in interdisiciplinary studies. Candidates will preferably have experience as a teaching assistant or instructor, mentoring students, and a specific research agenda that aligns with one of the College’s degree-granting departments. Motivation to teach, mentor, conduct and publish research is expected. The successful candidate will also pursue their own individual research agenda and be guided by a faculty mentor in their respective field. A research presentation given once a year will summarize progress in this arena and should result in one or more publications.

Summer Research Associates and Undergraduate Research Assistants

The Harvard MGH Center for Law, Brain, and Behavior’s Executive Director, Dr. Francis Shen, seeks to hire full-time, paid research associates and undergraduate research assistants for the summer term, June to August 2019. Research associates and research assistants will play an integral role in Center initiatives concerning the developing brain, the aging brain, and many additional topics. Research associates may be hired at the postbac, graduate, or postdoc levels. Current undergraduates are eligible for the research assistant positions. Compensation will be based on experience and start/end dates are flexible. PhD Position

The Department of Medicine Neurology Division at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada is looking for a graduate student to joint a dynamic research team focused on issues related to brain health, technology, and patient experience. The position is based out of the the University of British Columbia and the BC Children's and Women's Hospital. The position with work closely with the principal investigator of Neuroscience, Engagement and Smart Tech Lab and other members to co-develop technology to support brain health across the lifespan. Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Pragmatic Health Ethics Research Unit is seeking two postdoctoral fellows or graduate students to work on two main projects. The first project examines the ethical and social implications of health care transitions for youth with chronic conditions, including rare diseases. The second project examines the ethics of registry-based type-1 diabetes research. Positions will remain open until filled.
