The 2017 Annual Meeting of the International Neuroethics Society will feature a wide range of exciting scientific lectures, discussions, and numerous networking opportunities with experts, researchers, and up-and-coming leaders in the field of neuroethics. Attendees must register in advance or onsite to participate in this event. Registration includes admittance to the full 1.5-day schedule of events planned in Washington, DC, including a Thursday evening reception as well as Friday’s continental breakfast, boxed lunch, and evening reception. The meeting will start Thursday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m. and conclude Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Discounted rates are available to those who register early. If you require an invoice, please contact INS staff at administrator@neuroethicssociety.org. Registrations will not be accepted over the phone.

Speakers/Panelists – Unless otherwise informed by INS leadership or staff, those invited to speak at the annual meeting must pay registration fee based on their membership type and status as outlined above.  

Cancellations – Notice of cancellation and requests for a refund must be received by staff at least six (6) weeks in advance of the start of the 2017 INS Annual Meeting, by September 28, 2018, 5:00 p.m. ET (U.S.). A cancellation processing fee will be deducted from all refunds: $25 for students, trainees, and postdocs and $50 for regular members, affiliates, and non-members. Email questions, cancellations, and requests for refunds to: kgraham@neuroethicssociety.org. After the deadline, no refunds for cancellations will be made.

Dietary Restrictions – The registration form provides an opportunity to declare dietary restrictions. To the best of our ability, INS staff will work with event providers to meet your needs.

Individuals and organizations can provide support for the INS Annual Meeting with financial contributions, in-kind donations, program advertisements, or by sponsoring a specific activity at the meeting.

Meeting activities will be held at the American Association for the Advancement of Science building at 1200 New York Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005. The main entrance to the building is located near the intersection of H Street NW and 12th Street NW, one block from the Metro Center transit station.

The nearest airport is the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, but reliable ground transportation options can be made if arriving via Washington Dulles International Airport or the Baltimore–Washington International Airport.

Hotels / Accommodations

The INS does not have an agreement with any hotels or reserve a block of rooms for attendees. If you plan to attend the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) meeting, you can book a hotel room through their Housing and Travel services. For those not attending SfN, hotels are available by using a travel website or agent. The SfN meeting website provides a hotel list and interactive city map which may help you choose a place to stay. Please note, the room rates listed on the SfN website may not be available to all customers booking independently.
